The classic three-barrel brass saddle design is not only the traditional Telecaster bridge setup, but it also sounds fantastic while remaining simple, reliable, and stable. However, it has always had a few shortcomings. Originally, the intonation screw had to be bent by hand to achieve better tuning accuracy. While this worked reasonably well, various compensated saddle designs have appeared over the years to improve intonation. They work, they are well made, and certainly better than nothing—but one significant problem remained unsolved.

Until now, nobody had properly addressed the challenge of keeping the strings positioned laterally on the saddles. It's common for strings to drift toward the height-adjustment screws, causing spacing issues as well as unwanted rattles and vibrations.

Music City Bridge Groove Master Saddles solve all of these issues. They sound exceptional, install easily, and make both action adjustment and intonation straightforward and precise. Each saddle features a carefully engineered series of micro-grooves that securely locate the strings exactly where you want them, along with a precisely tested compensation profile that helps keep your guitar perfectly in tune.

Fender briefly used threaded steel saddles around 1960–61, but because the threads run at an angle, they often produced an undesirable sitar-like effect. Groove Master Saddles are specifically designed without angled grooves to eliminate that problem and ensure clear, clean notes across all strings.

Each saddle is reversible, offering two usable sides. By flipping the saddle, you can reverse the compensation pattern. For example, the B/e pair can be configured with compensation opposite to the D/G pair when using a wound third string.

These saddles are offered as a complete set of three and include all mounting screws and springs. Because every detail matters, they feature American-made stainless steel screws with the original vintage-correct 6-32 thread specification. Unlike the originals, they won't rust over time.
